MEET DEB GOODFELLOW
Deb began her professional career with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and left as an Assistant Manager of Consumer Finance. She went from financing homes to selling them. Her real estate career began with Del Bro Real Estate where she worked for many years before starting Goodfellow & Goodfellow Real Estate with her husband, Bob, where she served as its first selling Broker. It later became Goodfellow & Goodfellow & Lind Real Estate Ltd. with the welcome addition of Lori Lind and Tom Goodfellow as owners – and a great team of real estate professionals.
Deb served as The President of The Manitoba Real Estate Association’s Board of Directors in 2005 and President of The Winnipeg Real Estate’s Board of Directors in 2009. Volunteering in the governance of the real estate industry was woven into Deb’s career over the years. She is most proud of her involvement with bringing in The Quality of Life program, REALTORS Care and the MREA Shelter Foundation, serving as its first Chair on the Board of Governors. Deb also served on The Canadian Real Estate Association’s REALTORS Care Board of Directors. She was also active in political affiliations with the Political Action and Realtor Action networks. Deb knows that REALTORS do much more than sell homes. They care about the people living in them and they help to build strong, healthy and vibrant communities.
Giving back, social consciousness and making a difference is also important to Deb and these values are strongly entrenched within the foundation of her personal and professional life. Deb is also an Author/Speaker. She is married to her partner in business and in life – Bob, and together they are blessed with a precious daughter, Ashley and dog-son – a Yorkie named Simon – who are all the center of her universe.
Deb says: “Working with people in real estate has been one of the greatest privileges of her life.”
